"Pasture to Picnic" is a curated, small-group culinary journey that takes you behind the scenes with the ranchers, farmers, and artisans who shape our extraordinary region. Join us for an intimate, authentic exploration of the Santa Ynez Valley—from the soil to your plate.

The Experience

Your journey begins at a working cattle ranch, where you will go behind the scenes of sustainable ranching and enjoy hands-on time with friendly farm animals. From there, we’ll head to a seasonal U-Pick field to gather fresh produce, followed by a scenic drive through vineyard-lined backroads.

Along the way, enjoy thoughtfully curated tastings of local artisan goods and estate-grown specialties.

The Grand Finale: The tour concludes with an elegant, on-farm picnic lunch. We provide the linens, cutlery, and gourmet spread—you simply provide the appetite. With transportation between stops included, you are free to fully immerse yourself in the stories and landscapes of the valley.

Giving Back: A portion of the proceeds from this event benefits the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience, in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
